Goals

Students will use valid scientific reasoning to identify, investigate and evaluate environmental issues. They will effectively communicate their findings, and will become advocates for their environment.

Students will demonstrate an understanding of natural systems and human interactions working toward establishing and maintaining harmonious relationships with the environment.

Students will use their acquired knowledge, ethics and decision-making skills to actively participate in the resolution of environmental issues, with emphasis on local concerns.

Students will develop a responsibility and commitment to local and global environmental stewardship.

Students will participate in learning activities in the classroom, the Benn Nature Conservancy and other outdoor sites.
